Talk To Me, Baby!

Visual effects, no matter how stunning, are no longer enough for users. These days, they expect to interact with a business and/or each other via live audio or video: thanks to Web RTC, this wish has become possible.

In the past, different platforms each required their own codec, driver, etc to handle audio or video. There was no single standard. WebRTC promises to become that single standard for real time audio and video on the web.

What about latency across networks, you ask? VP8, the video codec from the WebM Project, was designed for low latency. NetEQ for Voice is a dynamic jitter buffer and error concealment algorhythm used specifically to conceal network jitter and packet loss. It keeps latency low whilst maintaining the highest quality of voice.

All this technical terminology might not mean much to an end user, but when they're able to hit a site and communicate via full audio and video with a business instead of clicking on various FAQs or, at best, a live online typed chat, they'll instantly understand and appreciate WebRTC. Applications like Skype have rocketed upward with ease of usability, enabling users to communicate live with their families no matter the location: the video phone, long a staple of science fiction, is now a reality on smart phones.

Just think: no more plug-ins, downloads or installs! Web RTC application can now write rich, real time multimedia apps on the web that require nothing whatsoever except a web cam and microphone, something most users have.Users have realtime audio and video simply by loading a web page, inconceivable in the past.

Which browsers and platforms already supports WebRTC?

- Chrome

-Chrome for Android

-Firefox

-Opera

Native Java and Objective-C Bindings

Over 1 billion users are now using a WebRTC-enabled browser! With numbers like that, can your business afford not to jump on the WebRTC bandwagon? Web RTC Developers not only provides custom apps to suit any needs, but does so at low rates whilst providing the highest quality out there.

How do we do that?

Our parent company, Galaxy Weblinks, has been developing solid, visually attractive apps that rate high in usablity for the web, mobile, and other markets for more than a decade.

GWL is based both in India and the States, ergo we outsource our coding to keep costs low and quality high.

Our developers are the first to pick up on new technology and fly with it.

Any product we release goes through an intense array of Q/A procedures.

What WebRTC-based products are we working on now?

helpy.co - a live, video-based chat solution for businesses to help clients in realtime

Examination Online - custom assessment and learning management platform that enables teachers to create online courses and quizzes, bringing web-based schools to the next level!

Javachatcode - a moderated chat enabling users to converse live with celebrities.

Do you have an idea for a new business product? Contact us and we'll discuss it.

In weeks to come, we'll discuss novel business solutions now possible with WebRTC, and provide coding tips and tricks as well!
